MONSTRUCK uses no cookies and shows no ads. It counts how the game is played without knowing who you are, and it only learns your email if you type it in.
What we collect
| What | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Gameplay events: runs started, upgrades picked, deaths, votes, shares, clip saves, which link or post you arrived from, and your device type, screen size and language. | To see what is fun, what is broken, and which posts bring players. | PostHog, in its EU region. No cookies or browser storage are used for this; you are counted with an anonymous identifier that changes daily. |
| Your email, only if you enter it, with the truck you played, your best time, your country and the link you arrived from. | To send launch news and ability votes. Nothing else, and never sold or shared for advertising. | A database on Cloudflare. Also linked to your gameplay events in PostHog. When we send an email, the list is loaded into an email service, and every email has an unsubscribe link. |
| Your IP address | Your browser sends it with every request. PostHog uses it to estimate your country and to make the daily anonymous identifier. The sign-up form keeps a scrambled (hashed) version for about ten minutes to stop spam. | PostHog and Cloudflare. We never store your IP address in our own database. |
What stays on your device
The game saves your progress, best times, settings, votes, your share-link code and, if you entered one, your email address in your browser's local storage, so they are still there next time. They never leave your device unless listed above. Clearing your site data for this page removes them.
Clips you save with the clip button are recorded and saved on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you post it yourself.
Links to other sites
Buttons for Discord, Steam and other platforms open those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Your choices
- Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop emails.
- To see or delete your email and the data stored with it, message us on our Discord server. We delete it within 30 days.
- If your browser or an extension blocks analytics, the game works exactly the same.
Children
MONSTRUCK is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect emails from them. If you think a child has signed up, tell us on Discord and we will delete it.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
